Using the phrase "click here" is a no-no in Web design.

What is the most meaningless phrase on the World Wide Web? I’ll give you a hint: it’s two words long, superficial and ineffective. Still unsure? Click here.

As a call to action, the phrase “click here” is vague and doesn’t help guide a user through a site. The link could lead them in a direction they did not intend, and in this case, the element of surprise is not always a good thing. Users may not return to a site if they can’t find what they’re looking for.
